Lake Lure Apparel & Shirts
Shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and hats designed around Lake Lure, its dam, and one very famous goat.
Looking for a Lake Lure shirt that is not a generic lake-and-mountains souvenir? Everything here was designed for this corner of the Blue Ridge and is printed to order. Two collections run through the whole lineup: 100 Dam Years, made for the Lake Lure Dam's 100th birthday, and Edmund, the Kiko goat who took over Lake Lure and Chimney Rock's corner of the internet this summer.
Centennial items are unofficial and not affiliated with the Town of Lake Lure. Want stickers, a magnet, or pins too? The full Lake Lure Insider shop has them.

Edmund Lake Float Tank Top
Sunglasses on, floating in an inner tube with the mountains behind him — Edmund doing exactly what everyone else does at Lake Lure in July. The back is a pun made for the dock: "Goats just wanna have sun."
Greetings from Lake Lure Tank Top
The same big-letter postcard design as the Greetings from Lake Lure tee — Chimney Rock, the lake, the dam, and Edmund tucked into the lettering — on a lightweight tank top for the hottest days on the water.
Which Lake Lure Shirt Is Right for You?
- A souvenir tee: the Greetings from Lake Lure Oversized Tee is a big-letter postcard design of the whole place. The 100 Dam Years Goat Float Tee and the Dam Blueprint Tee are the dam-centennial designs. For something more tied to Chimney Rock and the lake, try the Lake Life. Goat Life. Heavyweight Tee.
- A women's cut: the Goat Float Women's Relaxed Tee carries the same design in a relaxed fit.
- Cooler mornings and evenings: long sleeves, the Centennial Crewneck, or the Chimney Rock Escape Artist Hoodie.
- On the water: the Lake Float Tank Top.
- A small gift: an embroidered dad hat, such as the Mountain Badge or Don't Fence Me In.
The Stories Behind the Designs
Edmund the goat
Edmund is a horned, shaggy-coated Kiko goat who showed up this summer in a goat fence along Highway 64/74A near the Rocky Broad River and has been crossing the river ever since. A viral campaign poster made him a write-in "candidate," and the designs borrow from that: the red bow tie and rosette on the Edmund for Mayor tees, "Lake Life. Goat Life." on the heavyweight tee, the "Don't Fence Me In" line from a viral Edmund reel, and the "Escape Artist" hoodie, whose back print is a nod to all the #FreeEdmund updates. Read the whole story in Meet Edmund.
100 Dam Years
The Lake Lure Dam turns 100 in 2026, and the whole lake exists because of it. The goat float designs put Edmund on a yellow inner tube in front of the dam, doing exactly what everyone else does at Lake Lure in July. The Dam Blueprint Tee is the other side of that coin: engineering-style linework of the dam under a "Structure No. 1926" title block, printed light on dark colors. The centennial badge, a sunrise over the Blue Ridge, is on the crewneck sweatshirt and the heavyweight long sleeve.
Chimney Rock and the lake
Several designs put Edmund against the places visitors actually come for: floating chest-deep in the lake with Chimney Rock behind him, or silhouetted atop the rock at sunset on the hoodie. Wear it where you took the photo.
