The Lake Lure Dam turned 100 in 2026, and Edmund has decided the only proper way to inspect it is from a yellow inner tube. Mirrored sunglasses on, a "LAKE LURE" tumbler in hoof, the spillway pouring behind him and the ridge rolling off toward the sun. "100 DAM YEARS" arches overhead, and a wooden sign below reads "LAKE LURE, NC · 1926 – 2026."
